Along with the announcement of the new n9, nokia also announced the Nokia play 360 bluetooth speaker with nfc, which means all you need to do to pair your phone with speaker is tap it! it looks pretty awesome to me!

A few days ago I got my n8 review unit from the good folks at nokia and today im here to give you an unboxing of the device and to tell you a few things that i like about it so far.

There is no standard Nokia Video out cable in the box which means unless you have a HD Tv there is no free way to connect the n8 to your television but beside that the box is pretty well packed just like most nokia boxes are.

With the new rebirth of Symbian came many new feature most of which i really like, features like USb on the go, HD gaming, Web tv and better social network integration but the one that im most happy about has got to be the visual multitasking.

It displays a screenshot of the apps or games that are open which looks really nice and easy to use, still its not as nice as multitasking on maemo but it’s way better then the s60v5 version. I was able to get up to 25 apps running at the same time which very good considering that i could only get up 7 – 8 running on my 5800.

Yes folks I got my Nokia N900 on Wednesday afternoon and I’ve been deep in to when ever I could which is usually during work (sneaking a peek) and after work posted up by my bedroom window “stealing” some Wifi from my neighbour. Honestly I haven’t gotten totally familiar with her yet so the most I’ve been doing is checking my mail and some light IM-ing. I got the basic games like Angry Birds level pack 1 and Brain Challenge I would have more games but for some reason I can’t download large files using the stolen Wifi. Oh and I’m a Noob so don’t go rushing off on calling me stupid if the reason is obvious to you. Nicki is being very well behaved, no problems no bugs, hopefully soon I’ll know her like the back of my hand for now I just like her in my palm 24/7

I haven’t found a favorite app for her yet. I’m just installing and un-installing as I go along. Next week I’m hopefully going to the National Library and do some heavy surfing. I’ll let you guys know about all that fun stuff. Wooooohooo!

I declare myself as an audiophile, I’m one of those who cannot bear listening to a mp3 with a bitrate lower than 320kbps, I do not use my N97 mini speakers to listen at music because of the poor sound it emits from its inside.

I prefer the crisp and crystal clear sound of the CDs, but regret that I have to compress them to mp3 in order to be able to have a big music library in my phone. I hated my N95 because of the almost inaudible background hiss that was always present. But I’m in love of the music, there’s nothing I enjoy more than listening every note coming from my favorite album, digging out every instrument used and every tone. That’s something I do when I want to relax and disconnect from this crazy and noisy world.

That’s why I want to praise the Nokia BH-905 Headset for giving me most pleasuring music experience I have had in my life. First of all, lets review the materials. It’s made of plastic with some kind of leathery materials on the important parts, that includes the ears pads, making it a very soft headset to use for long times. On every side there are buttons to control the music and for answering calls (that’s if you use your phone as media player).

But what makes it stand over the common headsets is the active noise cancellation system which means that if there’s sound around you it will create a sonic wave of the same amplitude but with inverted phase, meaning that it will cancel the original sound, making it almost innaudible. Yes, there is still a small but insignificant noise that a very trained ear can still hear, but really improves the sound experience.

The headset comes in a neat bag to carry it, and also includes many plugs just to be sure that you will be able to connect it to your favorite music player, without caring about plug compatibility. In my first tests I tried it using my N97 mini as music player, but made me remember how awfull can some mp3 can sound, so I instead blew some dust off my cd player and played some of my Green Day’s favorite albums, resulting in some of the most relaxing moments in my living room.

My second test was using the bluetooth radio to listen at music from my computer, but no, bluetooth is not yet ready to stream high definition music. I know many common users won’t care or won’t ever notice a difference but for some audiophile it is noticeable. Also there are times where music would play at 0.1x times faster making it listen like distorted or off tone, maybe it was because of some interference with the bluetooth signal, who knows. I know that bluetooth gives us the wireless freedom, so that’s something to put in consideration, for some people it’s more important the music quality and for others, the freedom is the best option for them. Anyways, I turned off the bluetooth and plugged it again to the ever trusty 3.5mm jack.

As conclusion I would recommend the BH-905 for the audiophile looking for a enjoyable music experience, as the common user won’t ever notice the quality change.
