Along with the announcement of the new n9, nokia also announced the Nokia play 360 bluetooth speaker with nfc, which means all you need to do to pair your phone with speaker is tap it! it looks pretty awesome to me!

The team behind the MeeGo-based Nokia N9 brought together elements of industrial design, software development and user interface advancements, as well as a developer platform to create a better way to use a phone. All that’s needed to use the Nokia N9 is a simple gesture, a swipe of the finger. It is an intuitive way to use all the different features and functions. Whenever you are in an application, you just swipe from the edge of the screen to go back home.

UNIBODY DESIGN

The Nokia N9 has a beautiful one-piece, unibody design where the hardware and software fit together seamlessly. The large, 3.9 inch curved glass AMOLED display lets the applications shine and take full benefit of the user interface. Thanks to the innovative laminated display technology, it looks like applications are literally floating on top of the screen. The body of the Nokia N9 is made from the best in polycarbonate material engineering today, enabling superior antenna performance over most other competitors’ smartphones. This means better reception, better voice quality and fewer dropped calls. Dolby Headphone and Dolby Digital Plus support on the Nokia N9 turns regular stereo audio into personal surround sound on any headphones – first on any mobile phone.

NFC-ENABLED

Pairing between NFC-enabled accessories is easier than ever before – you do Bluetooth pairing only once and after that you can connect to them just by touching. You can also share content like photos or business cards via NFC.

Today nokia betalab released an app called ‘nokia play to’ which allows you to wirelessly enjoy and share photos, videos and music on your nokia mobile device on your Tv.  All you need is a nokia C6, C7,E7, N8 or X7,  WLAN access and DLNA capable playing device  so a TV, Blu-ray player or a PS3 will all work.

I got this bad boy like 3 weeks ago and at first I must say I didn’t like it much, the speakers were soft and it was muffed and although I produce my own music that’s not my cup of tea since it felt as if I moved too much it would fall off. I gave it to some people to test out, they also agreed that the speakers were too soft, and I admit this is a biased opinion because we are Trinidadians, and we like our music loud!

However there were pros to the headset, the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) feature was my favorite, that did a great job, cancelling off the unwanted noises and leaving me to enjoy my movies on my Nokia n900 in peace, wow what an experience, and on top of that, I could make calls with same headset, with noise cancellation on still, so not only can I watch my movies in peace and clarity but I could talk a female friend too It also looked cool around my neck with the blue light blinking giving people the impression I was a DJ or something, again giving me access to talk to some girls.

I really love those headphones, they weren’t perfect but they were great, the battery lasted long, even when I forgot and left the ANC on for two days by accident it still had a good amount of juice.
So if you’re looking for nice looking headphones with great Active Noise Cancellation that’s not too loud I definitely recommend the Nokia BH 905i for you or as a Xmas gift for a friend.

• Video Review

Everyone is comparing the n8 something, some high-end camera, some other big name phone and that’s all well and good because the n8 seem to be winning the fights but what about a other nokia product? we all know that nokia makes the best camera phones so why not compare the so call best nokia camera phone to one of there other great camera phone.

The nokia n8 12mp photos are at the top and the n900 5Mp photos are on the bottom.

As you can see from the images above the n900 makes the photos alot brighter then they are in real life and some people seem to like it like that but the n8 uses the natural light and looks more realistic, still i think it was a close fight (well closer than i think it was going to be)  now that we have seen the photos from both devices it’s time for video!

A few days ago I got my n8 review unit from the good folks at nokia and today im here to give you an unboxing of the device and to tell you a few things that i like about it so far.

Included in the box:

There is no standard Nokia Video out cable in the box which means unless you have a HD Tv there is no free way to connect the n8 to your television but beside that the box is pretty well packed just like most nokia boxes are.

With the new rebirth of Symbian came many new feature most of which i really like, features like USb on the go, HD gaming, Web tv and better social network integration but the one that im most happy about has got to be the visual multitasking.

It displays a screenshot of the apps or games that are open which looks really nice and easy to use, still its not as nice as multitasking on maemo but it’s way better then the s60v5 version. I was able to get up to 25 apps running at the same time which very good considering that i could only get up 7 – 8 running on my 5800.

We many many more n8 post coming in the weeks ahead. so look out!

Unless you have been living under a rock for the last two days you’ll know that today was last day of Nokia World 2010 and with the ending of this great event comes four new nokia devices. The nokia E7 which was leaked as the N9 a few weeks back. This Symbian ^3 powered device has a 4 inch, AMOLED capacitive touchscreen,an 8MP camera and a ARM 11 680 MHz processor also its the world’s first Eseries device to have a touchscreen but that’s not the only first that comes with the E7..no..no..no. It’s one of the first devices to use nokia’s new ‘Clear Black’ display. sexy! The nokia C7, C6-01 and C3-01 Touch and Type were also announced but this isn’t a nokia world recap so i’m not going to get into detail about the other devices. (E7 pictures below)

What I am going to talk about however is a nice little package that i got from Womworld Nokia and they have been so good to me lately that i just feel the need to send some love back, so here you go womworld from me to you! but all kidding aside. I really do want to say Thanks you! to WomWorld Nokia  for everything that you have shared with me. Back to business, that nice little package that I mentioned before contained a Nokia World 2010 bag, a NW t-shirt and some really cool 3d glasses (only nokia sends bloggers 3d glasses!….got to love em!) I will give my mom the bag, i will rock the shirt and as for the 3d glasses well i’m going to use it to look at these 3D videos and images of the nokia n8,E7 and C7 which are at the virtual backstage of NW 2010.
