Nokia N900 vs Maemo 5?|Hardware or Software
Nokia gave out hundreds of n900 to blogger around the world in October to try and get as much feedback as possible before the they release it in November and as far as i can see most if not all of the feedback has be positive, everyone that i have talked to seem to love the n900, one person has even called it “the iphone with a real QWERTY” and in more ways then one that is what it is, not forgeting the 5MP camera and the 32 GB of storage features which the n900 have over the iphone. Moving on the n900 really does look like nokia’s best flagship device this year, some would even go so far to say it is what the n97 should have been but that it not what i think.
I was talking to my friend Matthew Bennett from N-Series-Us and the n900 popped up in the conventions and i asked him if the n900 was the best phone he had ever used and he basically said yes and that “Maemo is the future” during the conventions i said that “the n900 looks like its going to be a big hit” and he said its not the n900 that is the big hit but maemo, and i though about a what he say for a while in fact i’m still thinking about it now, the question that i want an answer for is this ” what are people more interested in the n90o (The hardware) or Meamo 5 (The Software)? is it the 5MP camera or the smooth animations and the razer shape graphics? is it the side-out QWERTY and the kickstand or the powerful new maemo browser? and the big question if the n900 ran s60v5 and not maemo 5 would you still want one? which ever one it is the future looks bright for nokia

i don’t know if i would still want one, without the maemo its more or less the n97,
if you looking for a Eseries with a similar formfactor to the n900, why no go with the e75

This device is awesome, but It’s still an internet tablet with phone capabilities. Im very tempted but, im still doubting becaus eof the lack of the end and call key and the portrait screen. Still awesome!

I’d really like to see s60 working on such impressive hardware. Nobody knows why Nokia put such low hardware specs on the N97… logically it doesn’t make sense when u look at the hardware vs price ration between N900 and N97.

one thing is for sure that N900 is not a big hit actually meamo is a big hit by nokia…. i m using N97 and its scroll sucks more over this past year symbian is the same let it be N70 or N93 or any nokia… symbian sucks…. i have used iphone and HTC touch pro 2. they are far better not in term of hard ware as N97 can beat any phone in terms of hardware as its has more hardware features than others… only point where nokia N97 is betten by this big shoots is its sucker software symbian… i hate symbian…. next time i m never gonna bye a phone that has symbian…. i m very disappointed as even applications by nokia ovi are having wonderfull touch scroll… than why is symbian not supporting it… more over now symbian developers eyes have opened after release of meamo in N900…. how stupid is that suckers…. there ass got burn after releasing meamo in N900 by nokia n now they are trying to update there firmware…. n that to in some countries n when it is going to come in india no one knws… now sick… as if indian r not giving full money to buy nokia… i thnk my descusion is enough to solve all ur quaries….

I also want big screen and faster CPU. I’m a little annoyed the i8910 has better CPU and RAM than any Nokia S60 device.
N97 sounds like a big mess. Old CPU. Not enough RAM and tiny C:

Hello.
If it was S60v5 or SF^2 I’d still want it.
However, I am very excited to have a handheld linux computer in a nearly perfect Mobile formfactor.
I would love an Eseries device with a similar formfactor.
As you know from my endless rants… I’m not a huge fan of Nseries, even thought I would have liked an N86 I really want qwerty on everything after my amazing E71 experience.
