What’s up world! its Saturday!  (sorry i have been watching a lot of de storm lately) so today i’m going to be telling you a little story, “about red ridding hood?” no! about nokia’s two OS’s, not to tell you which one is better overall and which one they should keep or let go but to tell you which one i think is best for me right now, and want i think nokia can do to make things a little better in the future  for me and maybe for you too.

So as some of you know my last nokia devices was the nokia 5800 and i say “was my last device” because it doesn’t work anymore, anyhow I got a n900 from the good people at nokia few days back and i have been using it as my main device ever since   but not only as my main device but as my life line and i will tell you now from the first day to now! i have spent more time with this phone then i have with my girlfriend, yes i know it sounds bad but when you have a computer with a nice looking, easy to use Ui thats has been blended up and poured into a great pace of hardware to create one of the best devices on the market to day one can’t help but keep it close at hand and heart, now i’m not saying that i never spent time with my other phones as a matter of fact i spent 3-4 hours setting up every new device that i have ever had but the differences is, with Symbian i was always like

“okay that new”, “I see they added a new app”, they still haven’t fix this problem”

but with maemo/meego/an other cool name that starts with M, I was like

“WOW! that’s nice” , “WOW! i didn’t know it could do that” , “father forgive me for i have sinned, because this must be mobile OS heaven”

Its about presentation my friends! see maemo presents it self like a top of the line OS with an easy to use  UI but with Symbian its like “sup G!, i have been doing this a long time you should know who i be!  and that’s where apply,google and meego with kick the living day lights out of Symbian. it’s because symbain won’t take the time to make  those hard edge, box like, pop ups windows that ask you to continue a billion and one time into a  small,smooth/round edged notification. i know some of you are saying “that won’t make symbian better” well maybe you’re right but think about if they made  hundreds of  little changes like that.

Year after year  the apple iphone has been on top when it comes to mobile gaming and I think is fair to say that they will stay on top for a while (years)  I also think its fair to say the since the iphone took over as the number one mobile gaming device, there has been no real challenge from any other phone provider when its comes to games (graphics, game-play…etc). Don’t give me wrong I love my Symbian device but if  i wanted a device just to play gamed I would pick an iphone over my 5800 or a PsP any day. Gamers like my self can’t help but be in awe when we see some of those iphone games and cry when we see s60 games BUT the arrival of symbian^3 and the nokia n8 will most likely change things for the better, with games that are of iphone standards…..well that is what it looks like in this video that i found anyway….

Hopefully it is, and if it is so then it’s just another reason why the nokia n8 is a must have device.

Yes you read that right, the maemo 5 browser is better and faster than the iphone’s browser, i have not tested this my self but according to our friends at fonearena “No Other phone can come close to N900 in the Browsing Department” i don’t know if that statement it true or not, but have a look at the original post and a video of the n900′s browser in action and let us know what you think.

The Nokia N900 may be seen as an internet tablet with phone capabilities. The N900 has got the best browser on a mobile phone and we are not kidding. We used the N900 alongside the iPhone , OmniaHD , a Blackberry and an Android device and our conclusion was that No Other phone can come close to N900 in the Browsing Department. All websites load and appear the same way it does on a desktop including banking sites and airline sites which are the most problematic.The screen is very responsive and there is kinetic scrolling, zooming. JavaScript including AJAX,Flash work pretty well.

Youtube works fine and we could even connect the phone to a TV and enjoy Youtube on the big screen.

The palm series back for the dead. The new palm pre is one of the best looking touch screen phones i have seen since the iphone ,i have to say this is one good looking phone but the pre is more then a pretty face it has a curved slide out keyboard and on the front is a 3.1 inch 320 x 480 multitouch display with a silver center button .the pre using a new webOS  platform,for the pics i saw of the  UI looks nice and clear,with some cool features like card view,notification dashboard, and lots more i am looking forward to this phone and i am thinking about get one.All and all i think this will be some bad news for the n97 by the looks of it the pre and the n97 are head to head and it will be the nokia  n97 vs. the pre and not the iphone.
